About the role#
RS Medical is hiring an Engineering Intern to support the development and manufacturing of neuromuscular electrical stimulation devices. You will gain hands-on experience by working with engineering and operations teams on diagnostics, product investigations, and equipment testing. This position is based at our headquarters in Vancouver, Washington.
What you'll do#
- Complete component-level updates, repairs, and enhancements on medical devices.
- Conduct engineering experiments and investigations related to manufacturing equipment, processes, and product performance.
- Investigate customer-reported issues, such as device failures or product complaints, and document your findings.
- Perform circuit board and component repairs, including soldering and de-soldering.
- Install and operate computer-based diagnostic tools to analyze performance data.
- Complete engineering investigation documentation and quality paperwork.
- Follow all safety guidelines and use equipment properly.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in an accredited two-year or four-year program in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least one year of completed coursework.
- Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use manufacturing software and hardware tools.
- Comfort with basic math and record-keeping.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work in a mixed warehouse and office environment.
- Electronics coursework or hands-on experience is preferred.

- Location: Vancouver, WA.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time preferred, with flexibility for 20 to 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $17.25 per hour.
