About the role#
As a Treasury Operations Intern, you will support the daily wire operations that send funds to the closing table. You will work at the intersection of treasury and capital markets, gaining exposure to the warehouse lines used to fund closings. This role requires focus on large data sets and attention to detail as you assist with cash management and reporting.
What you'll do#
- Support daily wire operations and monitor the warehouse lines used to fund closings.
- Use Excel to manage large data sets for daily cash positioning, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on cash position and forecasting.
- Reconcile cash-related accounts and journal entries for month-end close.
- Assist with intercompany settlements and transactions.
- Maintain and validate settlement instructions.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on bank fees.
- Support internal and external audits by monitoring cash activity.
- Partner with Finance teams on quarter-end close and ad-hoc requests.
- Contribute to process-improvement projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large, detailed data sets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Word.
- Self-directed work habits with strong follow-through.
- Clear, effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A curious, problem-solving mindset and a process-improvement orientation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadline pressure.
- Coursework or prior experience in treasury, finance, or accounting operations.
- Interest in capital markets or how warehouse lending works.
