About the role#
As a Test Engineering Intern, you will join the team at Stennis Space Center to support the Archimedes engine program. You will work alongside professionals to apply engineering concepts to real-world challenges. This role involves direct participation in engine operations and test facility management.
What you'll do#
- Learn about Archimedes Engine test operations on-site.
- Act as an operator by supporting engine rebuilds, test readiness, and hardware swaps.
- Attend regular 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors to discuss your progress.
- Participate in tech talks and connect with other interns and employees through social and professional events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s, master's, or doctorate program in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- At least one semester of school remaining after the internship concludes.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- At least 3 months of applied engineering experience.
- Preferred: A GPA of 3.5 or higher and 6+ months of applied engineering experience.
- Preferred: Proficiency in CAD/CAM, Solidworks, MATLAB, SiemensNX, Python, Java, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
- Preferred: Experience working with pressurized systems.

- Location: Stennis Space Center, Mississippi.
- Term: Winter 2027 (12 consecutive weeks beginning January, February, or March 2027).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site.
- Compensation: $25.00 per hour.
- Relocation: A stipend may be available to subsidize relocation costs.
