About the role#
As an Integration and Test Intern, you will support the Space Systems Integration and Test Team in Long Beach. You will contribute to improvements that directly impact the spacecraft Assembly, Integration, and Test phase. Our team manages satellite programs from initial proposal through to launch and early operations, ensuring flight spacecraft meet mission requirements until end-of-life.
What you'll do#
- Work closely with your mentor and other department employees to apply your knowledge and grow your skills.
- Apply engineering and industry concepts to solve real challenges.
- Attend frequent 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors to provide progress updates and discuss your learning.
- Participate in tech talks and connect with other interns and employees through professional events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s, master's, or doctorate program in engineering, physics, or mathematics.
- At least one semester of school remaining after the internship concludes.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- A minimum of 3 months of applied engineering experience, such as internships, laboratory work, or personal and team projects.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and work within small, high-performing teams.
- Capability to lead development projects without supervision and collaborate across teams to deliver results.
Location & details#
- Location: Long Beach, California.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Full-time, on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks starting in May or June 2027.
- Compensation: $28.00 per hour.
