About the role#
As a Government Operations Intern in Washington, D.C., you will learn about the internal priorities of Rocket Lab. You will gain insight into the processes the Government Operations team uses to implement strategy with state and local governments. This role offers the chance to apply your knowledge and grow your skills in a professional environment.
What you'll do#
- Work closely with a mentor and other team members to solve real challenges.
- Apply engineering and industry concepts to your daily work.
- Attend regular 1:1 meetings with supervisors to track progress and discuss your learning.
- Participate in tech talks and connect with other interns and employees through various events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s, master's, or doctorate program in Business Administration, Public Policy, Political Science, or a related field.
- At least one semester of school remaining after the internship concludes.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- At least 3 months of corporate experience in federal government, elections, policy, or Government Operations.
- A GPA of 3.5 or higher and 6 months of corporate experience in Government Operations are preferred.
- Knowledge of the legislative process and space policy is preferred.

- Term: Winter 2027.
- Modality: Full-time, on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks.
- Compensation: $22.00 per hour.
