About the role#
The Digital Technology Program Management Office is looking for an intern to join our operations team for the summer of 2027. You will work on project financial reporting, database management, and operational process documentation. This role is a full-time, paid internship based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position.
What you'll do#
- Connect with project managers and service owners to assist with operational data and reporting needs.
- Support project financial activities like collecting actuals, checking variances, and preparing financial reports.
- Enhance dashboards for resource management, risk tracking, and cost reporting within Planview.
- Perform data analysis to help assess cost estimates, assumptions, and project forecast trends.
- Create and update workflow diagrams, standard work documents, and operational reference guides.
- Organize and validate datasets to ensure accuracy and completeness in project records.
- Participate in monthly data audits to identify gaps and suggest quality improvements.
- Prepare visualizations and summaries for internal operational reviews and updates.
- Use Microsoft Excel and other tools to manage datasets and draft documentation.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or a related STEM field by the start date.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools is preferred.
- Relevant experience gained through coursework, research, projects, or previous work.
