About the role#
Rite of Passage is hiring an intern for Pearl Haven, a specialized facility in Haleiwa, Hawaii. This role focuses on providing trauma informed therapeutic services for girls ages 11 to 17 who have experienced complex trauma or deal with emotional and behavioral disturbances. You will work directly with troubled teens to help them heal.
What you'll do#
- Create a positive, safe, and supportive environment for the youth.
- Provide trauma informed therapeutic services.
- Assist youth in their healing process.
- Work one of two available shifts: Sunday through Wednesday (7pm to 8am, with a half day on Wednesday from 7am to 2pm) or Wednesday through Saturday (Wednesday 1pm to 8pm, then Thursday through Saturday 7am to 8am).
What you'll need#
- Approval for an internship through BYU.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- You must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
- A patient and empathetic approach when working with troubled teens.

- Location: Haleiwa, Hawaii.
- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a full-time, paid internship with rolling start dates.
