About the role#
The Regeneron Genetics Center (RGC) is hiring Co-ops to join one of the most active human genetics programs in the world. You will work on full-time, on-site projects that contribute to research involving genomic data from millions of patients. These positions are available for Winter, Summer, and Fall 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Analyze large-scale genetic and genomic data, including cardiovascular disease, proteomics, and cardiac imaging.
- Conduct genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and risk-prediction analyses.
- Integrate clinical outcomes data with genomic datasets.
- Write and test code to support large-scale genetic and multi-omics analyses.
- Collaborate with scientists to interpret findings and document your methods.
- Present your results to the broader genomics research team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Public Health.
- You must be returning to school the semester after your co-op or graduating after the position ends.
- Ability to commit to 40 hours per week.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership in campus activities, clubs, sports, or community involvement is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Tarrytown, New York.
- The position is full-time.
- Compensation ranges from $17.90 to $50.90 per hour, depending on education level and degree program.
