About the role#
The Access Your Future Service Internship is a hands-on program designed to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world heavy equipment maintenance. You will work directly with experienced technicians and mentors to gain practical experience in a shop environment. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Burnsville, Minnesota.
What you'll do#
- Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service heavy equipment.
- Assist with diagnostics and troubleshooting tasks.
- Use advanced shop tools and technology to perform maintenance.
- Document machine details, parts, and repair work on service orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Care for company tools and equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an approved Heavy Equipment Service, Diesel Technology, or similar technical program.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA and a solid attendance record.
- Experience using mechanical tools.
- Strong computer skills and clear verbal and written communication.
- A focus on customer service.
- Valid work authorization for the United States.

- Compensation: $20 to $24 per hour.
- Program benefits include potential for full-time employment upon graduation, company-paid tools, a $5,000 graduation sign-on bonus, and additional financial incentives.
