About the role#
This Supply Chain Intern position is a full-time, paid opportunity for the Summer 2027 term. You will work remotely while supporting core supply chain functions and collaborating with teams across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Support daily supply chain activities and operations.
- Attend staff and team meetings to stay aligned on project goals.
- Analyze and organize data sets to support decision-making.
- Lead or contribute to organizational improvement projects.
- Communicate status updates clearly to internal customers.
- Manage multiple deadlines to ensure targets are met.
- Participate in professional development activities, including mentorships, resume critiques, and job shadowing.
- Build your supply chain knowledge through on-the-job experience and training.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor's or Advanced degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a STEM field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience delivering presentations in academic, professional, or extracurricular settings.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with SAP, Continuous Improvement (CI) tools, MRP/ERP systems, prior purchasing experience, and background in the aerospace industry.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
- The position is remote, though managers may discuss occasional onsite presence if you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site.
