About the role#
Raytheon is hiring for the Cooperative Education Program. This is a part-time, remote role designed for students who are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field. Participants will engage in professional development activities while working toward a U.S. government security clearance. Upon graduation and successful clearance approval, participants will transition to a full-time, onsite position in Richardson, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Participate in monthly engagement seminars.
- Complete all required Raytheon training modules.
- Engage in activities necessary to obtain a security clearance.
- Meet regularly with a mentor.
Note that this role requires 2 to 4 hours of participation per month and does not include direct program or project work during the co-op period.
What you'll need#
- Must be a Senior or Post-Graduate student with an expected graduation date of December 2027.
- Must have completed a minimum of 90 credit hours by the start of the session.
- Experience developing object-oriented software using Java in a Linux environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot software errors and provide fixes using a modern IDE like Eclipse or VSCode.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

- Candidates must reside in one of the 50 U.S. states.
