About the role#
Raytheon Technologies is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering student to join the Assembly and Test team in Midland, Ontario. This is a full-time, paid placement. You will work alongside team members to support active projects and gain experience across sales, supply chain, design, and manufacturing operations.
What you'll do#
- Draft mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports.
- Create and run validation procedures for new and existing custom optical and electrical test equipment.
- Gain hands-on experience with soldering and microcontroller programming.
- Support the broader engineering team with daily manufacturing tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to create and read mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Experience with design software for mechanical models, drawings, and assembly drawings. Autodesk Inventor experience is preferred.
- Experience using mechanical test lab equipment to execute test plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take initiative.

- This role requires Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.
- Candidates must have resided in Canada for at least five consecutive years.
- You must be able to obtain security clearance under the Controlled Goods Program and the Contract Security Program.
