    About the role#

    This Industrial Engineering Co-Op position supports manufacturing processes for high-frequency communication radios and circuit board production. You will work on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, during the winter or summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position requiring U.S. citizenship.

    What you'll do#

    • Support manufacturing operations by managing equipment, floor layouts, work sequences, and instructions.
    • Conduct studies on productivity, cost control, inventory management, and production record systems.
    • Review products and processes to identify risks related to quality, safety, and producibility.
    • Collaborate with design teams to implement changes that mitigate identified risks.
    • Manage projects and processes of moderate size.
    • Solve complex problems independently and create tactical plans for daily challenges.
    • Travel to local Iowa regional sites as needed.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or advanced degree program in Industrial Engineering or a related STEM major, continuing through the end of your session.
    • Prior experience working in manufacturing environments.
    • Background in root cause analysis.
    • Proficiency with CAD software.
    • A history of driving continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
