About the role#
Join the Digital Engine Services (DES) team to work on ground station software. You will manage the ingestion of engine diagnostic data and monitor performance within an AWS cloud environment. This role involves processing flight data from onboard recorders to support engine health monitoring. You will also conduct improvement studies on data-processing software and standardize internal documentation.
What you'll do#
- Participate in software development and validation as part of an agile team.
- Analyze requirements and prepare design documentation.
- Develop object-oriented modules in Python for hosting on AWS.
- Automate tests and participate in software validation and acceptance.
- Build methods and tools to monitor the performance of ground station data processing.
- Write and standardize procedures and training documents for all processes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Canadian university for the duration of the internship.
- Studies in computer science, software development, or aerospace engineering.
- Advanced skills in Python and Excel.
- Experience developing applications in Python using Git for source code control.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and French, spoken and written.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
- Ability to work on-site at the Longueuil facility.
- Strong organizational skills, team spirit, and the ability to learn independently.
Location & details#
- Location: Longueuil, Quebec, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 5 to April 23, 2027).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site, Monday to Friday.
- Note: The successful candidate must pass a background check and obtain necessary authorizations for handling controlled goods.
