About the role#
This Summer Analyst position within the Capital Markets & Advisory area offers exposure to public and private debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory work. Analysts gain hands-on experience by contributing to the full transaction process, including research, the creation of original work products, and participation in due diligence and client proposal sessions.
What you'll do#
- Develop financial models to assess debt and equity financing alternatives for transactions.
- Perform valuation methodologies, including comparative company analysis and discounted cash flow analysis.
- Collaborate with Senior Bankers to develop strategies for client presentations and create unique materials.
- Research, analyze, and document elements of developing transactions.
- Monitor current events in industry groups to provide input on critical issues affecting clients and deals.
- Maintain group databases to support research and analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate degree program, with a focus on Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Accounting.
- Knowledge of fundamental investment banking concepts, tax and accounting practices, and financial markets.
- Strong analytical skills to assess market events and identify trends.
- Ability to think independently, develop original strategies, and solve problems.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in utilizing technology to produce reports and presentations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
