About the role#
This 10-week summer internship offers hands-on experience in software engineering and IT systems. You will work across various departments to design, build, and maintain software applications that support our business operations. Throughout the program, you will collaborate with subject matter experts to enhance existing systems and develop new technical solutions. You will also work in a group setting to research a specific company challenge and present your findings to leadership during the final week of the program.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications to support business operations.
- Gather and define technical requirements for new features and system enhancements.
- Configure, test, and debug software components to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify system security requirements and develop tools to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Monitor application performance and system logs to resolve issues.
- Prepare standard operating procedures and document technical findings.
- Automate repeatable tasks and propose improvements for system security.
- Participate in a group project presented to company leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, specifically in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Ability to commit to the full 10-week duration of the program.
- Proactive attitude toward learning and solving problems.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in collaborative, cross-functional settings.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship occurring Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Rosemont, Illinois.
- You must be available to work on-site, Monday through Friday.
