About the role#
This internship provides direct experience in the processes used to optimize data center environments. You will work on initiatives tied to real QTS objectives throughout the life cycle of data center builds and company operations. This is a full-time, paid summer 2027 position located on-site in Phoenix, Arizona.
What you'll do#
- Assist the technology team with daily activities.
- Maintain budgets, schedules, and status reports for your assigned projects.
- Develop scopes of work for configuration, design, and commissioning services.
- Collaborate with the strategic procurement team on technology delivery and procurement processes.
- Monitor the availability and status of technologies currently in production.
- Help with the disposition of legacy assets.
- Conduct fact-finding research for major projects and initiatives.
- Assist with the decoupling of data center components.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, STEM, Data Science, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel for budgeting and data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- US citizenship.
- Current full-time enrollment at a Blackstone Launchpad affiliate school or one of the QTS partner institutions (Auburn University, Kansas State University, Georgia State University, Southern Adventist University, Texas A&M University, or the University of Kansas).
- Previous internship or co-op experience in technology, finance, construction, facilities engineering, or HR.
- Experience with data analysis tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Involvement in community activities, including athletics, clubs, volunteering, or part-time work.
