About the role#
Qorvo is hiring a Packaging Intern to join our Global Operations business group in Greensboro, North Carolina. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship. You will work on real projects that support our semiconductor assembly processes, focusing on technology development, design rules, and continuous improvement.
What you'll do#
- Learn methodologies used in technology development projects.
- Gain hands-on experience with semiconductor assembly processes.
- Review assembly and marking diagrams to identify improvements.
- Support project deployment through material and bill of materials (BOM) reviews.
- Document processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts using A3 methodology.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to drive problem resolution.
- Clear communication and presentation abilities.
- Preference is given to candidates with experience in packaging materials like solder, epoxy, flux, or mold compounds.
- Preference is given to those with a background in assembly processes such as wire bond, die attach, or flip chip.
- Experience with simulation software like ANSYS, COMSOL, or SolidWork Simulation is a plus.
- Familiarity with automating simulation tasks via scripting or macros is a plus.

- This role is based on-site in Greensboro, North Carolina.
