About the role#
This summer internship offers accounting students the chance to gain hands-on experience within the Enterprise Risk and Governance practice. From early May through mid-August 2027, you will work with experienced professionals to help organizations identify, assess, and respond to risk. You will gain exposure to data-enabled solutions and internal control frameworks while contributing to client work and team projects.
What you'll do#
- Support process and controls work across the three lines, including process documentation and risk identification.
- Assist with internal control testing procedures, which involves preparing testing documentation and organizing evidence.
- Document work performed and evidence gathered in a clear and concise manner.
- Flag potential control gaps, exceptions, or documentation issues to senior team members.
- Support the creation of client-ready materials, such as process narratives, flowcharts, and test plans.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in post-secondary education while working to obtain the Canadian CPA required prerequisite courses.
- A foundational understanding of analytical, automation, and visualization platforms such as Informatica, Databricks, Azure, Fabric Data Flow, Alteryx, and PowerQuery/PowerBI.
- An understanding of management principles, operational efficiency, and core risk management concepts.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
