About the role#
As a co-op in the Enterprise Risk & Governance practice, you will assist clients in developing technology-enabled solutions to address complex business problems. You will work with teams to manage data-related risks, enhance governance frameworks, and evaluate internal controls against standards like COSO. This role provides exposure to risk assurance work, data governance, and reporting capabilities during the busy season.
What you'll do#
- Support process and controls work across the three lines, including process documentation and risk identification.
- Assist with internal control testing procedures, such as design and operating effectiveness, while organizing evidence.
- Document work performed and evidence gathered with clarity and precision.
- Flag potential control gaps, exceptions, or documentation issues to senior team members.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal teams and clients.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in post-secondary education while working toward Canadian CPA prerequisite courses.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A foundational understanding of analytical, automation, and visualization platforms.
- The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
