About the role#
ProCogia is hiring an LLM Research Intern to join our team in Vancouver. This is a hands-on research and engineering role focused on how large language models are adapted, evaluated, and deployed for enterprise use cases. You will work alongside our AI, data science, and engineering teams to experiment with open-weight LLMs, fine-tuning, and inference optimization.
What you'll do#
- Assess domain-specific datasets to determine the best adaptation approach.
- Curate, clean, deduplicate, and structure datasets for training.
- Fine-tune open-weight LLMs using techniques like LoRA, QLoRA, and PEFT.
- Establish baseline performance and measure model adaptations.
- Design evaluation frameworks that cover factuality, reasoning, and model performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning or deep learning.
- Solid understanding of transformer architectures, LLMs, and modern NLP concepts.
- Experience with tools such as PyTorch and Hugging Face Transformers.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Vancouver, British Columbia.
- The role is full-time and paid at $23 per hour.
- The internship term is rolling.
