About the role#
The Financial Sales Intern position is a summer opportunity based in Southfield, Michigan. This role focuses on gaining hands-on experience in business development and fintech within the small business lending sector. Interns will work directly with the sales team to learn needs-based selling techniques and contribute to the growth of the company.
What you'll do#
- Assist with prospecting, outreach, and identifying potential clients who would benefit from financial products.
- Help manage client relationships by providing support during onboarding and follow-up to ensure seamless transactions.
- Work closely with the sales team to develop an understanding of needs-based selling and refine communication skills.
- Engage in daily team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative projects to contribute ideas and learn from experienced professionals.
What you'll need#
- Academic focus in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Psychology.
- A strong desire to learn, grow, and excel in a sales environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to connect with people professionally.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets, Microsoft Office, and PDF editors.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
