About the role#
You will join the Powell Electrical System North Canton Division Engineering group. You will work under a mentor, primarily focusing on medium voltage switchgear projects. You may also assist with other products as needed. This role involves preparing real projects for detailed design and verifying the quality of design documents.
What you'll do#
- Read and interpret customer specifications and drawings.
- Prepare projects for detailed design.
- Perform quality control on detailed design documents.
- Learn internal policies, work instructions, and ISO procedures.
- Gain knowledge of safety rules, regulations, and vendor products.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited mechanical or industrial engineering program.
- Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
- Ability to read and interpret customer specifications.
- Familiarity with ISO policies.
- Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
