About the role#
As an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer Intern at Krones, you will apply engineering tools to improve production flow and manage costs. You will work on layout optimization and help standardize internal processes. This is a full-time position for the summer of 2026.
What you'll do#
- Update and create facility layout drawings using CAD software.
- Enter data into Excel to generate charts and reports.
- Assist with continuous improvement, 5S initiatives, and process flow analysis.
- Develop detailed procedures and work instructions to standardize manufacturing processes.
- Work on lean projects focused on improving flow and reducing CNC machine setup times.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering degree program.
- Sophomore or Junior standing.
- A GPA above 3.0 is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong typing skills and the ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written forms.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- This role is located on-site in Franklin, Wisconsin.
- This position is paid and requires full-time commitment during the summer months.
