About the role#
As a Test Engineer intern, you will work with automated functional test equipment, programming software, and hipot test equipment. You will develop assembly-specific test programs used in the manufacturing process. You will collaborate with team leaders, engineers, and manufacturing technicians to support production goals.
What you'll do#
- Support the development, installation, and maintenance of test and inspection programs for manufacturing platforms.
- Create training materials and assembly build instructions for operators and technicians.
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging test equipment, software, and products to support root cause failure analysis.
- Monitor yield data to identify cost-down opportunities and continuous improvement projects.
- Coordinate with planners and supervisors to meet production schedule priorities.
- Lead test program acceptance, calibration, and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Analyze test results and procedures to provide recommendations.
- Work from technical manuals, schematics, and specifications to record test data.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field for the full duration of the internship.
- Junior level status is preferred.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
