About the role#
The Quality Engineer Intern acts as a liaison between manufacturing and the customer. You will ensure that product specifications and regulatory requirements are met. This role provides hands-on experience and mentorship to help you learn the core duties of a Quality Engineer.
What you'll do#
- Lead proactive quality initiatives including continuous improvements, preventative actions, and mistake-proofing.
- Manage reactive quality tasks such as root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and addressing customer issues.
- Apply statistical analysis tools and the DMAIC process to solve problems.
- Support quality activities for new product introductions and maintain expectations for the existing customer base.
- Audit and monitor processes using metrics to verify product health.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering for the duration of the internship.
- Junior level academic status.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
