About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based on-site in Neenah, Wisconsin. You will work with the Technology department to support product development efforts across the entire life cycle. This role focuses on gaining hands-on experience in mechanical design and testing while working alongside senior engineers.
What you'll do#
- Develop mechanical components and system concepts that meet customer requirements.
- Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings under the guidance of senior staff.
- Build and assemble prototypes, which may include using shop equipment like mills or lathes.
- Perform material and prototype tests while recording data accurately.
- Organize and present test results to the team.
- Complete preliminary analysis on tolerance stack ups, thermal, or structural designs.
- Attend meetings and contribute ideas to the product development process.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program for Mechanical Engineering.
- Sophomore or Junior level standing is preferred.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Experience with Creo Parametric or SolidWorks is desired.
