About the role#
The Co-Op Engineering position provides hands-on technical experience for students interested in laboratory projects. You will work under general supervision to complete tasks in Engineering or Project Engineering. This role involves applying classroom knowledge to real-world technical activities and supporting the daily operations of the 222-S Laboratory Complex.
What you'll do#
- Apply your academic education to gain practical technical experience.
- Provide field support and assist with special projects.
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and concepts.
- Conduct studies and support non-routine technical activities.
- Perform data analysis and make detailed observations.
- Ensure all work complies with established procedures and government regulations.
What you'll need#
- U.S. citizenship.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Active full-time student status with junior standing.
- A minimum overall GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Enrollment in a degree program related to the cleanup mission, such as Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering.
Location & details#
- Location: Richland, Washington.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 15 to 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, between 6:30 am and 5:00 pm.
- Status: Paid, full-time co-op.
