Intern, Human Resources

About the role#

Plains All American is seeking a Human Resources Intern for an 8-month, full-time term starting August 31, 2026. This role is based in our Calgary office and offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the oil and gas midstream sector. You will support both Canadian and US operations by contributing to meaningful HR projects and daily administrative activities.

What you'll do#

• Assist the Talent Acquisition team with intern recruitment, including screening resumes and booking interviews.
• Support and execute end-to-end Contingent Workforce lifecycle transactions within Workday.
• Monitor the Contingent Workforce mailbox to respond to inquiries from leaders, vendors, and workers.
• Manage Contingent Workforce reporting activities, ensuring data integrity and conducting timely follow-ups.
• Assist with HR Payroll tasks, including manual entries, validation, and responding to worker pay inquiries.
• Coordinate logistics for intern program events and meetings.
• Complete and present assigned projects that showcase your learning and contributions.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in the third or fourth year of a full-time bachelor’s degree program in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
• Proficiency with MS Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CoPilot AI, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to relocate to Calgary for the duration of the 8-month term.
• Previous entry-level work experience in customer service or a relevant internship is considered an asset.

• Work Modality: On-site at our downtown office.
• Term: Summer 2026 start (August 31, 2026) for 8 months.
• Employment Status: Full-time.
