About the role#
Plains All American is seeking a Human Resources Intern for an 8-month, full-time term starting August 31, 2026. This role is based in our Calgary office and offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the oil and gas midstream sector. You will support both Canadian and US operations by contributing to meaningful HR projects and daily administrative activities.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Talent Acquisition team with intern recruitment, including screening resumes and booking interviews.
- Support and execute end-to-end Contingent Workforce lifecycle transactions within Workday.
- Monitor the Contingent Workforce mailbox to respond to inquiries from leaders, vendors, and workers.
- Manage Contingent Workforce reporting activities, ensuring data integrity and conducting timely follow-ups.
- Assist with HR Payroll tasks, including manual entries, validation, and responding to worker pay inquiries.
- Coordinate logistics for intern program events and meetings.
- Complete and present assigned projects that showcase your learning and contributions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the third or fourth year of a full-time bachelor’s degree program in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency with MS Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CoPilot AI, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to relocate to Calgary for the duration of the 8-month term.
- Previous entry-level work experience in customer service or a relevant internship is considered an asset.
