About the role#
As a Software Test Engineer Intern, you will ensure the quality and performance of Wave Relay products. You will work on testing software and equipment, developing low-level software, and integrating various sensors and components into the Wave Relay system. This role involves supporting engineering activities both in-house and at customer sites.
What you'll do#
- Perform software testing, quality assurance, and regression testing for Wave Relay products.
- Develop and implement low-level software and hardware solutions, including device drivers and Linux kernel modules.
- Create technical proposals and documentation.
- Integrate external systems, sensors, and components with the Wave Relay network.
- Build test platforms to facilitate repeatable and efficient software testing.
- Write scripts to automate test procedures.
- Generate test plans, procedures, and result reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience participating in software test requirements and building test plans, including regression, functional, performance, and stress testing.
- Knowledge of wireless communication and networking systems.
- Ability to obtain or maintain a US security clearance.
- Experience with process improvement and data quality.
- Preferred: Experience with SQL database queries, Cisco or enterprise networking, and ISO9001 quality systems.
