About the role#
Perryman Company is hiring an Electrical Engineering intern for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site to assist with the assembly, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems. This role involves both improving existing equipment and helping to develop new processes.
What you'll do#
- Assemble, test, and troubleshoot motors, motor controls, switch panels, PLCs, HMIs, and hydraulic or pneumatic controls.
- Modify electrical systems to fix functional issues and diagnose the root cause of failures.
- Create wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Perform periodic systems testing and identify areas for process improvement.
- Work with the engineering team to review data and assess equipment needs or efficiencies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation and Controls Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while working under supervision.
- Strong communication skills and self-motivation.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.

- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Coal Center, Pennsylvania or Houston, Pennsylvania.
