About the role#
Perryman Company is hiring a chemistry intern for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site at our titanium melt facility in Coal Center, Pennsylvania. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the certification of new reference materials.
- Prepare and analyze titanium alloy samples using X-ray Fluorescence, Spark Atomic Emission, and Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectroscopy.
- Follow ASTM, ISO, and internal Perryman specifications during analysis.
- Record test results, perform statistical analysis, and maintain accurate records.
- Create technical reports and certifications.
- Coordinate with outside laboratories to support the certification process.
- Work both independently and as part of a team alongside laboratory technicians.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Chemistry.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Comfort working with strong mineral acids, milling machines, hot saws, and shears.
