About the role#
Perryman Company is hiring a summer intern for our Finance team in 2027. This full-time, paid position offers hands-on experience in financial operations within the primary metal manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Support the Accounting team with daily functions and assigned projects.
- Assist with the monthly general ledger close, consolidation, and financial reporting.
- Verify invoice mapping and payments for accounts payable.
- Help manage accounts receivable collections and applications.
- Perform vendor maintenance and analysis.
- Assist the Accounting and Business Analytics departments with data cleansing and modeling.
- Gain experience in data entry and problem solving.
- Develop a working knowledge of ERP systems and the relationship between manufacturing operations and financial reporting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with MS Office and Excel.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- High attention to detail.
