About the role#
Our data engineering team manages the warehouse, the orchestration layer, and the pipelines that move data from operational systems to the rest of the company. As an intern, you will build data pipelines, help design tools for analyzing large volumes of data, and solve real data warehousing problems alongside our team. You will work directly with stakeholders across Risk, Commerce, Marketing, Ops, and Finance.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain data pipelines.
- Design infrastructure for analyzing large datasets.
- Collaborate with the team on data warehousing projects.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to meet business needs.
- Gain hands-on experience with our tech stack, including AWS, Fivetran, Airflow, DataHub, Terraform, Python, and SQL.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or pending receipt of a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Management, Information Systems, Mathematics, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Expected graduation date between winter 2027 and summer 2028, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience using SQL to acquire and transform data.
- Experience with database or data warehouse operations.
- Exposure to third-party APIs.
- Experience with object-oriented programming, preferably Python.
- Bonus qualifications include previous technical work experience, exposure to open-source data tooling, cloud computing systems, and an understanding of data types and storage paradigms.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
