About the role#
This internship offers an inside look at how engineering drives results in a plant operations environment. You will work with engineers, project managers, and operations teams to analyze challenges and develop practical solutions. This is an immersive experience where you will contribute to projects that support operational performance and continuous improvement.
What you'll do#
- Research and develop the scope for a high-impact engineering project.
- Analyze cost estimates and propose solutions to improve business operations.
- Assist project managers with active and developing projects.
- Track timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Support operations, maintenance, and operational technologies teams.
- Participate in troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives.
- Organize engineering files and maintain version control across multiple locations.
- Present findings, recommendations, and technical concepts to leadership and internal stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited four-year institution pursuing a bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to move freely throughout agribusiness facilities, including climbing vertical heights up to 150 feet.
- Ability to carry tools and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working in various temperatures, humidity levels, and noise environments.
- Ability to wear protective equipment, including a self-contained breathing apparatus.
Location & details#
- Location: Salisbury, Maryland.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- Travel: Required to remote agribusiness facilities and customer locations.
