About the role#
This is a paid co-op position for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms. You will work 40 hours per week in a hybrid arrangement based in San Diego, California. You will join Peraton professionals to support the County of San Diego contract, helping modernize technology services that support public health, social services, and public safety.
What you'll do#
- Support sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and Kanban boards.
- Help software delivery teams meet project deadlines.
- Gain practical experience in Agile program delivery.
- Work on projects that apply AI to software design, development, and delivery.
What you'll need#
- US Citizenship.
- A high school diploma and some advanced level training.
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban principles.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to facilitate meetings and track action items.
- Preferred: Scrum certification (PSM I or CSM) or CAPM.
- Preferred: Experience with JIRA or ServiceNow.
- Preferred: Team leadership experience from student organizations, capstone projects, or work.
- Preferred: Exposure to software development projects.
