About the role#
As a Business Analyst Intern, you will support the County of San Diego contract. You will act as a bridge between the needs of the County and our technical teams. Your work helps modernize local services, including projects that apply AI to how software is designed, built, and delivered.
What you'll do#
- Translate business problems into clear requirements and user stories.
- Help shape the scoping and planning of AI-assisted development projects under the AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC).
- Work alongside Peraton professionals on real projects that support County departments.
What you'll need#
- US Citizenship.
- A high school diploma and some advanced level training.
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to document processes clearly.
- A basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile concepts.
- Experience writing user stories or acceptance criteria is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI-DLC, JIRA, or process-mapping tools like Visio or Lucidchart.
- Basic SQL or data analysis skills.
- An interest in public-sector technology.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, 10-week summer internship occurring from June 2027 to August 2027.
- The role is hybrid and based in San Diego, California.
- This position is paid at a rate of $25 to $30 per hour.
