About the role#
Peraton is hiring a Software Development Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a paid, full-time position based in Topeka, Kansas. You will work on-site for at least 10 weeks to support the USPS Central Repair Facility program.
What you'll do#
- Design, implement, and document applications or web pages.
- Help staff design upgrades for current system software.
- Evaluate existing applications and identify future project needs.
- Work with Microsoft Visual Studio or other Visual IDE environments.
- Develop using C#, C++, VB.NET, and JavaScript.
- Utilize ASP.NET, MVC, and Windows Forms.
- Manage relational databases, specifically Microsoft SQL Server.
What you'll need#
- You must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a U.S. Postal Service security clearance.
- You are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- You must graduate after August 2027.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is required, though a 3.7 or higher is preferred.
- You are self-motivated, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a team.
- You have experience with project life-cycles, leading small groups, and delivering presentations.

- This position is located in Topeka, KS.
- You must be local to the area or able to commute to the office daily.
- The role requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week during the summer of 2027.
