About the role#
Peraton is hiring a Finance Analyst Co-op to support the County of San Diego contract. This is a full-time, paid position running from Winter 2027 through Summer 2027. You will work 40 hours per week in a hybrid arrangement based in San Diego.
What you'll do#
- Support financial operations for the County contract, including billing, procurement, and status reporting.
- Track cloud spend and identify cost-saving opportunities as the County's cloud footprint expands.
- Work with Peraton professionals on projects that modernize County services, including work related to AI in software delivery.
What you'll need#
- US Citizenship.
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel, specifically pivot tables, lookups, and basic formulas.
- Strong attention to detail when handling financial data.
- Familiarity with FinOps concepts or cloud cost tools like AWS Cost Explorer is a plus.
- Experience with ServiceNow or procurement workflows is preferred.
- Experience with dashboarding tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Interest in pursuing a FinOps Certified Practitioner or AWS Cloud Practitioner certification.
