About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work with Peraton professionals on the County of San Diego contract to support IT and telecommunications services. The role runs for 10 weeks, from June 2027 to August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support incident management processes to keep County systems running.
- Track SLA performance metrics.
- Create dashboards and executive reports to provide leadership with visibility into service health.
- Collaborate on projects that modernize County services.
What you'll need#
- US Citizenship is required.
- You must be a current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A high school diploma and some advanced level training.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and clear written communication.
- Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow is helpful.
- Familiarity with ITIL concepts, specifically ITIL 4 Foundation.
- Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Exposure to SQL or monitoring tools like Splunk and CloudWatch.
