About the role#
Peraton is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a paid, full-time position based in Topeka, Kansas, supporting the USPS Central Repair Facility program. You will work on-site for at least 10 weeks, dedicating 40 hours per week to engineering tasks.
What you'll do#
- Perform device modeling for FPGAs and BGAs.
- Conduct digital circuit design and research.
- Use AutoCAD or Eagle software for schematic capture.
- Apply knowledge of basic electrical theory, AC/DC electronics, and power theory.
- Assist with software development.
- Handle board and component layout.
What you'll need#
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Postal Service security clearance.
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Graduation date scheduled after August 2027.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
- Ability to commute daily to the Topeka, KS area.
Desired skills and experience include a 3.7 GPA or higher, strong communication skills, and experience working on full life-cycle engineering projects. We also value candidates who are self-motivated and comfortable working in both team and autonomous environments.
