About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Herndon, Virginia. You will join a project team to support IT and cybersecurity efforts over a ten-week period from June to August. This role is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year university program, typically those entering their junior or senior year.
What you'll do#
- Provide IT, cyber, and system support for commercial products.
- Contribute to cybersecurity projects as a member of a team.
- Learn operational and maintenance tasks for various programs.
- Gain exposure to IT technologies like VMware, Cisco, Red Hat, and Microsoft.
- Develop an understanding of company operations and project culture.
What you'll need#
- US Citizenship.
- A high school diploma with some advanced level training.
- Progress toward a bachelor degree in cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity technologies and processes.
- Hands-on experience with cyber tools such as Wireshark, Metasploit, or Kali Linux through coursework or previous internships.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Familiarity with Agile software development and cloud computing environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to new concepts and work well as a team-player.

- Commitment: 35 to 40 hours per week.
