About the role#
This is a part-time internship opportunity for students pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications. You will work alongside our sales, administrative, service, and operations teams to gain experience in the transportation industry. This position is based in Memphis, Tennessee.
What you'll do#
- Manage the inbound and outbound sales process.
- Find new business leads and maintain relationships with current customers.
- Oversee and manage a large fleet of vehicles.
- Match vehicle demand with available inventory.
- Coordinate customer accounts and ensure complete satisfaction.
- Complete other tasks and projects assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- A valid driver's license and the willingness to drive Penske vehicles, including 26-foot box trucks.
- Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well in a team.
- At least 6 months of retail sales or customer service experience is preferred.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred.
- Ability to pass a background investigation, drug screening, and maintain a DOT driver qualification file.
