About the role#
Pembina Pipeline Corporation is hiring a General Labour Summer Student for our Grande Prairie office. This role reports to the Pipeline Foreman in the Conventional Pipelines Division. You will support maintenance activities at field site locations, the office, and the warehouse. This is a 4-month, full-time position scheduled from May to August 2026. The regular schedule is Monday to Thursday, 7 AM to 5 PM.
What you'll do#
- Assist with operations activities and projects as required.
- Perform general maintenance, painting, and housekeeping at Lease Automatic Custody Transfer (LACT) sites.
- Handle groundskeeping tasks like cutting grass and weed removal.
- Support day-to-day work and learning activities for the team.
- Follow the Zero by Choice safety culture by caring for yourself and others and adhering to all Life Saving Rules.
- Contribute to an equitable and inclusive workplace by working respectfully and effectively with others.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary or Trades program, specifically in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
- Capability for moderate physical work.
- A valid driver license with a satisfactory driver abstract.
- Self-motivation, reliability, and strong communication skills.
- Experience or interest in the oil and gas sector is helpful.
- Proficiency with equipment like forklifts, bobcats, or manual tools like weed trimmers is considered an asset.

- Location: Grande Prairie, Alberta.
- Candidates must live within 100 km of Grande Prairie.
- This is an on-site position.
- This role is considered safety sensitive and requires pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, a criminal record check, and a driver abstract.
