General Labour Summer Student

About the role#

Pembina Pipeline Corporation is seeking a General Labour Summer Student to join the Conventional Pipelines Division in Grande Prairie, Alberta. This is a 4-month full-time position for Summer 2026, reporting to the Pipeline Foreman. The role supports maintenance activities at field sites, as well as the local office, warehouse, and shop. The regular work schedule is Monday to Thursday, 7 AM to 5 PM. Candidates must reside within 100 km of Grande Prairie.

What you'll do#

• Assist with operations activities, projects, and general maintenance tasks including painting.
• Perform housekeeping duties at Lease Automatic Custody Transfer (LACT) sites.
• Manage site grounds through grass cutting and weed removal.
• Support day-to-day work and learning activities for the team using internal systems.
• Uphold the 'Zero by Choice' safety culture by following all Life Saving Rules.
• Contribute to an inclusive workplace by working respectfully and effectively with others.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a post-secondary or Trades program, with a preference for Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• Capability to perform moderate physical work.
• A valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driver abstract.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and friendly approach with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and a commitment to safety and company values.
• Experience or interest in the oil and gas sector is an asset.
• Proficiency with equipment such as forklifts, bobcats, or manual tools like weed trimmers is considered beneficial.
