About the role#
Pembina Pipeline Corporation is seeking a General Labour Summer Student for a 4-month term based in Grande Prairie, Alberta. This role supports maintenance activities at field site locations, as well as the local office, warehouse, and shop. You will work under the supervision of the area Supervisor within the Transmission Pipeline Business Unit. The regular schedule for this position is Monday to Thursday, 7 AM to 5 PM. Candidates must live within 100 km of Grande Prairie.
What you'll do#
- Perform general site duties including station painting, cleaning, and support for office, yard, and warehouse operations.
- Assist field operations and maintenance staff at facilities as required.
- Support the Zero by Choice safety culture by following all Life Saving Rules.
- Demonstrate company values by working in a safe, trustworthy, respectful, collaborative, and entrepreneurial manner.
- Contribute to an inclusive workplace by working effectively and respectfully with others.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering program.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driver abstract.
- Ability to perform moderate physical labour.
- Ability to commit to the full 4-month duration and the required work schedule.
- Demonstrated reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn in a structured environment.
- Previous experience in the oil and gas industry or with equipment such as forklifts, bobcats, or manual tools like weed-trimmers is considered an asset.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, including testing for marijuana metabolites, and a criminal record check.
