General Labour Summer Student

About the role#

Pembina Pipeline Corporation is seeking a General Labour Summer Student to support operations and maintenance activities within the BC-AB Gathering Area. This role is based in the Grande Prairie office, warehouse, and field site locations. The position is a full-time, 4-month summer term requiring on-site attendance.

What you'll do#

• Perform general labour duties including station painting, cleaning, and general office, yard, and warehouse support.
• Assist field operations and maintenance staff at various facilities.
• Support the company safety culture by following all Life Saving Rules and prioritizing the safety of yourself and others.
• Work in accordance with company values, which include being safe, trustworthy, respectful, collaborative, and entrepreneurial.
• Contribute to an inclusive workplace by working effectively and respectfully with others.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in an Industrial or Mechanical Engineering program.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driver abstract.
• Ability to perform moderate physical labour.
• Reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn in a structured environment.
• Ability to commit to the full 4-month term and the required schedule.
• Experience in the oil and gas industry or with equipment such as forklifts, bobcats, or manual tools like weed-trimmers is considered an asset.

Location & details#

• Location: Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada.
• Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Residency: Must live within 100 km of Grande Prairie.
• Requirements: This is a safety-sensitive position requiring pre-employment drug and alcohol testing (including marijuana metabolites), a criminal record check, and the provision of a driver’s abstract.
