About the role#
This is a 4-month administrative internship based in Grande Prairie, Alberta. The role supports local field and office operations by providing reception coverage and general administrative assistance. You will work Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a daily lunch break from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. This is a full-time, on-site position for the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Provide front-desk reception coverage, including greeting visitors and responding to general inquiries.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and courier shipments.
- Inventory, organize, and sort physical and electronic documents.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, database updates, and vacation relief.
- Support day-to-day work activities using tools such as SAP, Microsoft Office, and Copilot/ChatGPT.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program with a plan to return to school following the work term.
- A field of study aligned with the role or one that provides relevant transferable skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Familiarity with Copilot/ChatGPT and other applicable systems is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage confidential information.
- Professional communication skills for interactions in person, over the phone, and via email.
