About the role#
As a Bilingual Department Manager Intern, you will work directly with Department Managers to support factory operations. This role focuses on developing team members while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity. You will manage labor budgets and apply continuous improvement principles to improve efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Manage factory team members and hold them accountable for performance.
- Reward team members for their contributions.
- Oversee safety, quality, and productivity metrics within your department.
- Apply continuous improvement principles, such as Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing, through projects and team collaboration.
- Work side by side with current Department Managers to gain practical experience.
What you'll need#
- You must be bilingual.
- A strong drive to develop people and help them reach their potential.
- A conscientious and loyal approach to work.
- A clear desire to succeed and improve processes.
- Enrollment in a degree program such as Business Administration, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering.

- This is a full-time, paid internship based in Pella, Iowa.
- The position is on-site.
- This role is for the Summer 2027 term.
