About the role#
The ABA Student Analyst role provides graduate students with hands-on experience in direct service delivery and the fieldwork hours required for BCBA certification. You will work with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities while receiving supervision from a licensed BCBA. This position balances practical behavior intervention with the application of ABA principles to help you gain the skills needed for an entry-level BCBA role.
What you'll do#
- Provide one-on-one behavioral intervention to clients in home, clinic, or community settings.
- Implement behavior intervention plans and skill-building programs designed by your supervisor.
- Assist in conducting functional behavior assessments and preference assessments.
- Participate in the development and modification of treatment goals and individualized service plans.
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors and progress during sessions.
- Prepare data reports and assist in adjusting treatment plans based on your analysis.
- Attend regular clinical supervision meetings to review progress and develop professional competencies.
- Maintain accurate client records and case documentation.
- Collaborate with family members and caregivers to support behavior management strategies.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- Maintain confidentiality of all client and employee information.
What you'll need#
- Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician through the BACB.
- Enrollment as a graduate student in an ABA program for at least 6 months while seeking BCBA certification.
- Ability to work with children from birth to age 21 and families who are at risk.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with diverse groups of people.
- Ability to read, interpret, and author routine reports and company documents.
- Reliable attendance and the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, running, sitting, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working around standard farm animals.
