About the role#
Pediatrics Plus offers internship opportunities for undergraduate students each semester. This program provides a supervised and structured learning experience with hands-on work. You will start with an orientation and work with a mentor to set specific learning objectives. The goal is to encourage career exploration and skill development.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily tasks and activities in an assigned department.
- Support leadership staff with their work.
- Conduct research, gather data, and prepare reports.
- Participate in team meetings and engage with colleagues.
- Complete department-specific projects and other special assignments.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with a wide variety of people.
- Proficiency in basic computer tasks, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changes.
- Capacity to read and interpret safety rules, policies, and other documents.
- Ability to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Commitment to regular, punctual attendance and a professional dress code.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and perform physical movements such as walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
