About the role#
PDT Partners is seeking Software Engineering interns to join our team for the Summer 2027 program. This 10-week internship offers the opportunity to work alongside senior developers on technically challenging projects. You will contribute to the technology that enables the trading life cycle while receiving hands-on mentorship in a professional environment.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, debug, and test software components for financial data, including real-time events and batch processing.
- Build and maintain technology that supports all aspects of the trading life cycle.
- Develop tooling for infrastructure management.
- Contribute to the infrastructure and maintenance of large-scale data sets.
- Apply new techniques and algorithms focusing on program correctness, maintainability, and efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related highly technical field.
- Graduation date of Fall 2027 or later.
- Strong programming skills with a deep understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Intellectual curiosity and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to accept and apply constructive feedback.
